  • Intermittent rumbling from FOS tyre/hub

I replaced both front wheel bearings about a week ago, all was fine. At low speed it has developed a fault whereby I can hear a rumbling/rubbing noise at slow speeds from the front offside wheel but it's doesn't do it all the time, it appears to come and go. There does seem to be more play in the drive shaft

Thanks mate, I did a bit of digging and I came to the same conclusion. Other people speak of a noise like a hammer drill when these bushes play up, at the time I thought it sounded like a compressor so I think it's the same noise. I also have play on the front drive shaft where it meets the back of the hub,
