  • Banging... its getting embarresing now...

On full lock (right or left) my surf bangs randomly... not a regular patten or anything just loads of loud cracks... i was told it would die down and it did... but now its back and i keep getting funny looks in carparks (get less looks when i am squealing its tires and getting it sideways...), had a look round the front wheels and cant see anything obvious, i heard somthing about greasing somthing but for some reason the search thing isnt liking me atm... so anyone any info / ideas what it is / could be?

Make sure your have grease both back and front on both left an right wheels. Worst case if its your cv joints your looking around £75 per side. plus labour depending how handy you are.

If it your cv joints its usually more of clunk clunk clunk. But the bumpstops if dry is usually more of a dry grinding sound.

Check condition of anti roll bar bushes, drop link bushes etc. Also I remember someone saying that the torsion bars can creak too. Wouldn't know what to do if they were tho..
