  • Suspension switch

When I bought my 3.0TD I noticed my suspension switch has been taken out and replaced with a fog light switch...

Question is how do I or can I change the settings or put switch back and relocate fog one?

    cheers

Have you had a look to see if you still have the adjustable shocks? The previous owner could have fitted aftermarket shocks, making the hard/soft switch redundant.
    It's only a hobby!

Being the master of nothing mechanical - what am I looking for and where?

Have a look inside your rear wheel arch. You will see the shocks. Follow them to the top and if they are still the adjustables they will have wires attached. If aftermarket non-adjustables have been fitted the wiring will be coiled up and tied out of the way.

adjustable shocks have a cap with wires coming out at the top end of the shock.
if you find a switch I could do with one too (toyota price aprox £35)

Toyota Camry etc in scrappy £2-£5 if you are honest. Small enough to fit in pocket if not. I got mine for nothing cos the scrappy was soooo impressed that I hadn't nicked 'em. I restored his faith in human nature!

Had to clamber under the car to see but felt around the shocks and springs and found no trace of wires

Mine also had adjustable shocks and a fog light switch instead of a suspension switch, so i binned the shocks and fitted ES9000 gas loads better.

Think the 2" lift with E9000 shocks in next on my list of things to do/buy
