Do all 3L TDs have EFI?

Hi, I have just purchased a 96 Surf 3.0TD SSRX, Japanese import, 1KZ-TE engine. How do I establish if it has EFI? I originally thought all of the Hilux 3L TD engines did, but now I am not so sure. The engine has 'Turbo Diesel' emblazened on it, but I have seen photos of some engines that have "EFI" emblazened in the same place. So I just want to know if I have EFI or not.

Does anyone know for sure what the models have, or does anyone have a link where I can see all of the specs for the different engines and models, or can anyone describe the difference in appearance between an EFI and a non-EFI engine?

Well, the "E" in the 1KZ-TE stands for electronic controlled, so yes, you will have electronic fuel injection.

I plan on getting the 1KZ-T (non EFI) in my 89 4 runner(surf).

UK 4Runners have non EFI 1KZT engine. All the 3Litre Diesel Surfs and the UK Landcruiser 2 (later 3 litre models) have the 1KZTE (EFI) engine.
