Do I need new injectors?

When I first start my truck up she runs a little lumpy. Even after a good warm up she hunts, i.e. The revs are a little upand down on tickover. If I put a bottle of injector cleaner in the tank, she's OK for a couple of thou' KMs, but starts to run rough again. Are the injectors on their way out?

Yep, I'd say that's a fair diagnosis. Probably the springs have got weak over time.

could anyone tell me what the injector codes for a 2.4 td are. i would take them out and have a look myself but if i do that..... no motor. cheers.

what mpg do you get i am wondering if this is what causes my poor mpg , if i put redex or millers in i seem to get better mpg if i miss it out it drops down again.....

you can get the injectors tested, for about £20 at most diesel specialists, could save you a lot in the long run, i think new injectors are about £200

just got a recon set from diesel bob -£33 each plus £80 deposit until old ones are returned. Noticeably better performance and next to no smoke. MPG test this week - was getting 21-22.
