    This is my first time on this site I own a 90 model 2.4 turbo diesel surf and am wanting to fit a temp gauge in her as I don't trust factory gauge ..can anyone give me instructions on how to do this my mechanical aptitude is average at best but want to do this myself....with a little help from you guys...thanks

    Hi you will need one of these, im not sure the of the inside diameter of the 2.4 top hose so you will need to measure it.

        so do I buy that bit and connect new sensor to it

          Buy a Tim gauge, c/w 3 adapters & sender.
          2.4 surf has a blanking plug in thermostat housing. Remove & fit new sender.

          No need to cut top hose & no loss of coolant.

            no need to remove blanking plug (not all have that), just remove the factory sensor. your not going to be using the factory gauge so the sensor is not needed.
