  • Unidentified clutch component failing

    Hi all,

I have a pre-facelift LN130 and the clutch is leaking fluid.
The master and slave cylinders are OK so I followed the pipes in case there was hole until I found a component not listed in the manual!

What is it and where can I get a replacement?
On checking the forum I can't find mention of it but then, I don't know what it's called and on checking google images I haven't found another truck which has it so I'm wondering if it's another subtle pre-facelift to facelift difference or maybe just because most pictured are autos??

    Thanks in advance.

I've got a plan and it's as hot as my pants!

It could be a clutch damper, it reduces pulsing in hydraulic clutches. It's underneath by the slave cylinder on a disco.

looks a lot like it....had one on my vitara..i bypassed it, just had to be more controlled releasing the clutch.

That makes sense, I wonder if I could bypass it if I needed to?
There aren't any number I can see.

Does anyone with a breaker have one at all?

You could bypass it, but it might make the clutch change difficult. If you can't find an original, you could substitute with a different model, they are just standard brake hose fittings in and out.
