I ended up shipping my tool box with a transport company and loaded up the truck and drove out. Saskatchewan was windy and terribly cold so that was a slow day with awful mileage. The trip was a lot better once I get closer to Edmonton. I do have a few pics I could post later.
I think you made a very wise decision there. At least you enjoyed the journey without worrying about the towing, especially as it was so windy. Post the pics when you can, I love that part oif the world.
Cheers
Best part of the trip was walking into that fancy hotel. It was absolutely freezing outside, I was on the road against the wind all day and just need somewhere with power parking and available rooms. That was the only place I found. I walk in with dirty pants, a snowmobile jacket and a 6 pack of beer in grocery bag then realized what kind of hotel I just walked into. I have never felt so out of place haha.
When I left Regina, Saskatchewan it was -51 celcius with the windchill. Made it to Edmonton within maybe 8 hours but that was the worst drive ever. So slow and so cold.
