  • Aye, I ken this is a stupid question....

Folks, am a complete novice at car maintenance but am determined to do the simple stuff myself...so:

1.can anyone tell me the contact no. for Milners (sic?
) so I can purchase oil/air filters and...
    2. being a total virgin at this sort of stuff can anyone point to a Haynes type scheme for me to follow as I see there is no Haynes for my 93 2.4 ssr-x.

As an aside, I bought the car because I am a surfer (surfboards etc) and wanted something as cool as f**k to tour the surf spots in. Not disappointed despite a few setbacks..head, radiator, pump, master cylinder, timing belt...

Thanks in advance. My wife pities the way I pour obsessively over the site and at my wee comp to get max mph. 28mpg combined so far....

      thanks mate

Aye thats the one. Also found Mercian Manuals as a supplier of schemes 01676 533304, and also on this site a very detailed and apparently idiot proof guide to oil change from wibblywobbly.

      Thanks mate

Hi, I also surf and it does attract alot of looks from people when you drive up and pull surfboards wetsuit etc out of the back, especially with SURF written down the side in overly large letters.
my surfboard fits in just nicely down the passenger side, resting neatly on the headrests and the side of my wifes head.
We also made a tent attachment for the back which means i can stay out for those dawn sessions.
        See ya

          surf

yeah, helpfully the giant letters down the side of the vehicle remind me why I pulled up to a break......

Thinking of using mine to kip in for trips to Thurso etc, reckon its just about big enough.

            surf kipping

they are big enough to sleep in - a double blow up matress from argos about 12 quid fits a treat in the back (wheel arches can be a bit of a pain) - cook your brekkie on the tailgate - what more do you want - perfect truck - you can even drive around with your bed made up. i have heard that a long board bag makes a good substitute sleeping bag aswell.
            cheers

              board bag

My days of sleeping in a board bag are over. Prefer the luxury of a sleeping bag these days. Partly because just returned from surf trip to Costa Rica minus my precious 9'6'' Stewart longie which I left in two pieces on Hermosa Beach and cant face confronting its empty bag... Too much trauma..

              Enjoy Cornwall Thumper.
