  • Diesel pump remove the strap wheel

    Hello

because I have a little problem now that my Toyota diesel loses, I have replaced all pipes and seals of the diesel pump and investigated. Unfortunately, it looks as if the soup from the toothed belt wheel comes (the small O-rings) seems to be broken.
Now I have front built everything out and freely set the timing belt, but I get the nut of the wheel which sits on the diesel pump where the timing belt it runs not loosely.

Has a tip for me how this mother who can cause without broken what to do, so that I can remove the pump complete to the O-rings to change.

    Thank you and greetings

You have clear access to the front of the injector pump?
You can see the timing gear and the nut?
The timing gear fit on the shaft is tapered.

Some have shocked it off with carefully struck hammer blows on end of the shaft.
However I would recommend getting a proper gear puller.
If you look at the timing gear you should see some threaded holes.
The puller legs screw into these.
Don't forget the bracket holding the pump to the block.
Getting the pump out is a complete mother.

    Good luck.

Hopefully one of the adults has a tip for getting the pump out in an easy fashion?

I think you are talking about undoing the fuel pump pully nut?

You can often hold the pully enough with a pry bar resting on the water pump housing, with the end in the grooves on the pully.

Otherwise try a oil filter strap wrench, or something like this (top one)...

or this would be easier to make at home...

I see what you mean now.
          I used a pry bar.
Pry bar "foot" jammed in the pulley spokes and the pointy end down to the chassis rails.

Although that oil filter strap is a good idea too.

            Hello

Thank you to all the nut is loose and the wheel where the timing drives the pump is down.

Now I see the old seal (formerly rubber) which is completely porous and hard.

Tomorrow the new seal comes in and then hope I lose I no diesel.

              Hello

where I have changed the seal I've built all together and wanted to start the engine, so now is aber...er ran only once cracked (no gas adopted but) and then went out. Now he wants to no longer start.

Now is the question of which is me, I have adjusted the timing of the diesel pump on the together bau...oder is just the tank empty.

So here my question; the pump operates continuously, or has a certain position where she promotes the diesel.???

Hope you can help me, because I here in Germany set it only snows seats and here.

              Thank you and greetings

Did you time up the pump correctly?

                  Hello

I must therefore once again remove the timing belt and adjust the pump and hope that I find the right spot.Or do I see this wrong?!

Before you take it all apart again you said that it ran.

How long did it run for?

When you tried to start it how long did you try?

                    It may just need bleeding.
Slightly undo the diesel feed pipes at the injector end from the diesel pump and see if you are getting fuel when you crank it over?

                    Hopefully it is just air.

                      Hello

the motor ran about 1-2 minutes. Then I tried several times to start, but he did not. It sounds so as upper he wants but he shank it not to start.

When the motor ran at the beginning, he has adopted also no gas. I had pulled in front on the engine of the train, but nothing happened.

May air in the system be or simply the timing of the diesel pump is obstructed.

                      Thank you and greetings

Wie Sie den Motor hatte laufen für ein paar Minuten, dann haben Sie wahrscheinlich keine Timing-Probleme.
Ich würde vorschlagen, Blutungen die Luft aus den Kraftstoffleitungen.

                        Good luck.

                          Hello

so as I now finally could continue on my Toyo, have I fixed need to I've done something wrong.

My big swing has the marker in the wrong place wheel (where the four belt over it), and I built this then runs on. So, I had to of course expand the nozzle and new search the zero point. Then I had rebuilt everything together and out down the air pump to the filter, but the fuel is still running and you can hear how the air front is pulled on the wheel where the timing belt it runs.

Now, I got mine on Monday when Milneroffroad the seal Kit for the pump is newly ordered. As the da is I change all the seals of the pump and hope then that it was.

Because the engine runs but he seems to draw air and then goes off. Then must / can I pump again.

                          Greeting
