  • Front Shock Absorber Bush

Hi, I need to replace the Front shock absorber bushes, but all the usual companies don't supply them.
    Has anyone any ideas?
Failing this, I've found this company http://www.superflex.co.uk/products.php?cat=393 , so does anyone know what 'type' and 'size' of bush would be good enough?
    I have a 2.4 LN130 1993.

    many thanks
    Mike

In case anyone has the same problem, I ordered a pair of 'Powerflex' Polyurethane Bushes PF99-107. These came to about £17 with £5.99 next day delivery.

This is a 'top hat' bush, so using a hacksaw and the top hat flange as a guide, I cut off the flange. This reduced it to about the right width.

I then drilled the hole out with a 20mm bit, to accomodate the old metal tube for the M16 bolt. This was then hammered home.

Then I put the bolt in the tube and held onto each end of the bolt. I offered it up to a grinding wheel and allowed it to rotate with the grinding wheel.
This was done until the width was reduced to about 35mm wide, with a slight chamfer for the end that was going in first.

Forced it into bottom of shock absorber, job done and MOT passed.
