  • replacing viscose with twin electric fans

have been talking to a few people whilst out and about at work and it has been suggested that a good idea to up fuel econ even if only by a small amount would be to swap the viscous fan for one or two electric fans mounted at the back of the rad i think this would work but would greatly appreciate any thoughs or suggestions the tech minded among us may has to share on this topic

    Hi there
I have a 1993 surf aswell and it allready has a electric fan in front of the raditor as standard fitment. After my head went earlier this year I took the precation of wiring it up through a manual switich in parallel with the tempreture switich so I can turn it on if I think the temp needles higher than it should be.
For what you would save on the mpg in my opion you are better with the viscous fan there.
