Greetings all
Not been very active as I am usually looking for help, but for ages the Surf has run beautifully even in the salt and sand, right up to it's 20th birthday!
But now- Steering pump failure has caused total power loss, got a rebuild kit from Roughtrax Uk, anyone done it before?
off topic;
suddenly- Injector pump leaking like a sieve, got the o ring kit, grab that while steering pump is out...
then more- 4x4 button does not engage 4x4! must be the switch...
and lastly- back window motor fixed from last year has failed again..boooo
but happily... it's 90f this summer and I converted the R12 to 1394 with an adapter and that is brilliant. Rumours of the new gas in the old system messing up the compressor are perhaps unfounded.

Will send pics of all the fun. Has anyone taken apart a steering pump and refitted it with new bearings and Orings etc? I work in the dive industry and they don't scare me, but I was curious if someone has any experience and tips.
