Disconnecting the open door alarm

Hey people

Apologies if this is already been posted but how the hell do I stop the pinging noise when the door is open and keys in the ignition, I'm starting to go mad!!

Remove the lower part of the dash under the steering column to gain access to the black multi-plug that comes the back of the ignition switch, and snip the thin green wire with white stripe.
