AFAIK it just raises the revs, making no other changes.

that'll be handy as i use mine in the morning and normally forget to turn it off until i get to work - about 20 mins.. ta

Should't be a problem as I think it also disengages when you select drive.

Think it just ups the revs so you don't have to boot it first thing in the morning. They don't like it....

It's also there to up the revs when you're using a winch as at idle the alternator is not putting out enough juice to power something with such a large current draw.
