  • Steering Pulling to the Right while Driving and Breaking.

    Hello Guys,
I just got my self a 1992 Surf and it veers to the right; most noticeable when braking, I know it needs new break pads which I've got ready to be fitted. I've noticed the steering wheel doesn't return to centre. A Visit to the garage revealed the piston's to be Jamming, We free'd them up with wd40 but there is no noticeable change. Also a kind of humming sound when driving. If anyone would help please post below.
    Thanks for reading

pulling while braking is a brake binding or not working properly.

pulling normally is wheel alignment and/or worn joints.

humming generally wheel bearings, can be tightened slightly.
well, that was a bad idea!

Braking and breaking are very different things.

If it's pulling to one side all the time and also pulling to that side when braking, you may want to check the suspension for damage.

Also, change the parts you know to be faulty (including the calliper seals as you've damaged them with WD40).

Has your truck been modified in any way at any point?

You damaged the calliper seals by spraying WD40 on them.

Does it pull to the same side when driving as it does when you're braking?
