      these thermostats are not like the old fashioned type, they are double action have a look at your old one when it opens it also shuts a bypass water gallery behind it so it makes the water circulate around the engine , sorry to be the bearer of bad news but 99% sure your head is cracked between the valves

        well ive fixed the problem with new oil in vioscous clutch and a new rad its mint now, although the k seal has part blocked the heater matrix which im changing this week.


        tbf im a prittty good mechanic but never had this before...


        evidence im now using it as my new recovery 4x4 and green laning.

              no engine still in i never tow a car like that but the front end was buckled on the golf so couldnt get it pulled on right

                looks like ive moved to number one as they both said head but it wasnt. the symtoms that aye had said didnt add up to be a head. its easy for people to say this as its a common problem on a public forum.

                i dont need to spell for my job i have someone to sort my accounts and invoices for me. veiw my feed back on the good garage skeme

                    You're not on the good garage scheme, you're just a young lad who likes fiddling with cars and occasionally selling parts when you break them.

                    If you want to stay here and learn about surfs and how to fix them, I'm sure you're very welcome. I'll give you two bits of advice: don't take thermostats out and don't put k-seal in.

                    If you're hoping to sell parts or trucks, I think you fell down when you used the same username that's dirt across half the internet.

                          that block was is fine its been smoothed down thats all it needed. it does not contact any moving or major parts


                          all the links are from the same thread the lad got his money back. even though theres nothing wrong with it.


                          i can assure you the heads not cracked under towing it doesnt flicker i dont need uprated springs on at all the land cruiser sits the same way. when towin.
