  • Ugh, somehow lost my banjo bolt

Edit: I found it! In my last effort I start digging my hand around blindly trying to find crevices I couldn't see and I guess it had fallen down below what I think is a small pump? Whatever the piece is that sits on an angle below the light on the drivers side. Turns out it's not even a banjo bolt. Just a plug looking bolt.

Can a mod please delete this thread if possible? Sorry for cluttering up the forum, I was going into freakout mode!

Hey everyone, well I'm still struggling at putting everything back together after changing my timing belt. I've made it as far as putting all my belts back on and getting them to the proper tension. But I seem to have lost the banjo bolt for the alternator when I took everything apart. I've searched high and low for it over the last hour in my garage and can't seem to track it down.

I found in another thread that it's a M10 x 1.5 banjo bolt. Anyone have any idea where to get one? And if the ones for the gasoline 4runners are the same?

I'm absolutely freaking out because I'm supposed to fly home for Christmas out of the Calgary airport on Tuesday morning and I need to drive the Surf there (4 hour drive). Anyone know where I can get one? I figure even if I can get it Monday morning I'll have enough time to put it all back together and make it to Calgary. The icing on the cake is this is my only vehicle (my old corolla bit the dust 2 weeks ago).
All suggestions welcome, hopefully before I go crazy!

I actually found it underneath what I think is the washer fluid pump. Thanks anyway though.
