  • Fuel Filler Hose

I've just done a 2" body lift and the filler hose is barely long enough. I've measured the filler cap end and I get it to be 42mm inside diameter.

Just wondered if anyone can confirm it's the same size where it connects to the tank.

Also, has anyone found a supplier for this size hose in the past? The nearest size I can find is 45mm, but I'm not sure that'd pull in enough with hose clips.

    Thanks!

I did my body lift last week and had a few problems with my fuel filler pipe. I removed the two bolts from the mounting bracket before the lift and ended up pulling the filler cap through the hole in the body. I think I should have left the bolts alone or just slackened them a bit.

After enquiring on here the general consensus was that the pipe should generally extend enough to accommodate a 2" lift. Mine was but it was a struggle to get the two bolts back in and fitted properly.

I'm not sure exactly what you have done with yours but I would suggest to reassemble everything and if you haven't got a split in the pipe anywhere then live with it as it is. Saves finding a new pipe.

        Hope this helps

Stretching a 20 year old rubber fuel pipe - no thanks - after spending ££ on a lift would make sense to me to change it.
