need advice please

hi to all
my problem is my 2.4 surf auto i have a constant check light overdrive light keeps flashing and speedo not working and it don"t seem to be spooling the turbo as i have only seen my turbo light ever come on once any one have an idea please

Flashing OD light is a gearbox fault, you can get the fault code the same way as engine fault codes (see sticky in tech section). I'd guess it's the speedo sensor seeing as speedo isn't working as well.

This may also solve the turbo thing, but check all round the turbo pressure sensor for loose wires and vacuum hoses. It's on the side of the air filter box, and the middle of the inlet manifold, under the throttle bit.

thanks very much tony i have been reading up on what it could posably be and its looking like the speedo sensor m8.just hope i can get one cheap enough,don"t fancy lashing out 150nicker or there abouts,thanks for you advice m8 much appreaciated.cheers n beers
