Bigger alternator

Hi I need to big a bigger alternator for my Surf Ln130, any Ideas where I can buy one??

It's a bit difficult on the 2.4 due to the vacuum pump being on it. Probably easier to find a place that can re-wind the stock one to a higher output.

Anything Surf specific in big alternators is probably going to be expensive. Try something off another vehicle. Generally speaking, an alternator is an alternator.

I've read the MR2 MK2 one will be good...plus a higher output..was thinking of this myself.

How big do you want to go, and why?

Well I am not sure how big to go yet, but reason I am planning a trip down to South Africa with the Surf, and will have a few extra lights and other goodies on the batteries, and I am thinking of putting a extra battery in for "support"

Might be an option to fit LED lights (where feasible) and HID spotlights. Reduces the load on the stock alternator.
