  • My Head Exploded!!!

    hi.....

so after a few issues here & there with heating etc....finally might have got to the bottom of the problem with h reg Tink! Head went & spewed pink guts & steam all over the place.......

Has been properly diagnosed by a doctor of cars & head is dead (not too sure if it has cracked.....)

But, question is....what is the better solution.

Have a spare engine & parts in good nick from rear end write off.....do we transplant that....or get head fixed......???

Any suggestions welcome.....also can anywhere recommend a good, honest, surf surgeon in the derbyshire/ mancheter area who could poss fix......???

    thanks!!

have spare donor (L REG....but same engine)....rear end write off......was in the process of getting round to breaking her....but didn't get round to it (fortunately....!!!)

so question was.......what do you folks reckon is the best course of action for 2 dead surfs.......????? engine transplant....or head fix....??? does anybody have 1st hand experience?

getting a bit miffed driving round a (very respectable, but boring) german silvermobile right now........!!!

        thanx!

If money is tight, I'd take the head off the other engine, check it and use it on the good truck. I'd hate to go to all the trouble of an engine swap to find that one has a duff head as well.

If you can afford it the best option is a new head kit.
