It runs fine this way but this MAY be the reason for my power loss on inclines do you think ????

the bottom bit of the t-piece should go the top of the fuel pump, this as the altitude compensator.

all those loose ends need connecting up, it won't work if there are any open connections, you'll loose any vacuum in the system.

It has to be like the first 2L/T pic on the Ozzie site, anything else isn't correct.

I have had this before on another vehicle, diesel too. It drove and the engine revved up the gauge and sounded spot on but on hills it had no guts! all filters etc, and oils done and still the same and then someone told me to undo the banjo nut from the top of the fuel pump and take out the thimble filter, I looked in the top of the fuel pump after removing bolt and could see nothing of a thimble filter but put my finger in the diesel and sure enough a filter the size of your finger! You can buy these from lots of places, it basically stops junk getting to the pump as a back up, I use them on mine, will add a photo later. soon as this was washed with fuel and clean as they are lifetime parts the engine sounded exactly the same but full fuel flow was restored and power was back, I hope this helps
