sorry guys - i'm really not that technical minded at all..
i've been hearing a metal knocking noise coming from the front right recenltly, best way to describe it is it sounds like a holow tube being banged with a solid tube.. normally only happens on bumps etc
anyway, this am i crawled underneath and had a rumage around, the only thing i've noticed is this..
i'm sure its the front drive shaft and from looking about i've read that they should have a little play, but i'm guessing somethings not right here
there is a lot of dry, but dark patches around the circled bit and the movement to me seems excessive..
(sorry about the lack of technical talk and crappy pics)
if i get hold of it by the arrow, it moves a lot, rotates and up/down/left/right movement
same pc, but without the circles so you can see what i mean about the dark patches
i've tried to show the movement best i can by wiggling in this video - click the image to play it
is this normal - i'm guessing not
Tony - do i need to pay you a visit? lol
any help/advice would be greatly appreciated
