  • some heat, new thermostat, dodgy blower switch !

ok minus 4 here (up a welsh mountain!), so not expecting burning heat, but have fitted an old merc booster pump in line to the heater hose on the bulkhead, and removed the surf open/ close water valve , so supply is very good, but not much heat in the blown air.

I thought the heat control is merely water valve open or closed ? If so, water is open, and hot water definately going into and out of the bulkhead,/ matrix new thermostat fitted, yet blown air still lukewarm only. Is there another heat control mechanism I am missing ? Volume of blown air is good,

another question, full speed only on the blower- can the speed controller be bypassed to half speed only-or is it new resistor pack (behind the glovebox).

Tell you what - ###### marvellous old bus in snow/ ice straight up STEEP ice clad lane, towing other cars up the ice, running on goodrich all terrain. wooo minus 7 now!!

Could be the little cable that plays up, under the dash on the right beside the console, this controls the flap that lets air in!

thanks. flaps seem fully open, hot water running through the matrix, good air volume, but only lukewarm. maybe the matrix is silted up ?
