Help!! All my warning lights are on!

2.4TD 1992

I have just replaced my Crank Pulley.
Replaced all 4 aux belts.
Replaced all radiator hoses and clips.

Re-filled with water. Opened the bleed valve until water came out of it.

Engine fired up OK but now, all the warning lights stay on and an audible warning sounds.

Any ideas what I could have done wrong?

Also, is there just the one bleed valve?

Well for a start you've put water in your cooling system instead of coolant, as for the warning lights i'd say your alternator belt is'nt tight enough.

I'll try to put some more tension in it tomorrow.

I've got coolant to put in but I wanted to make sure there were no leaks first.

Also, is there just the one bleed valve?

Im not that familiar with the 2.4 cooling system so can't really say, im sure a boffin will be along shortly to help out.

Bleed valve? Didn't know there was one.

There is one on the bottom of the thermostat housing.

You've probably noticed a plug on the front section for the autos though, where the thermo switch is on a manual. Not really a bleed valve though, but may help a little in bleeding the system as far as there.
