Over-fueling??????

Hi guys been a while since i have been on, thats because my truck has been off the road for 8 months, finally got round to putting the new injectors in new glow plugs and all new gaskets, taken egr off all together and blanked holes,

The problem now is that she struggles to start from cold and when started is accompinied with thick clouds of black smoke, on tick over its fine but give it abit of throttle and comes the clouds, drive it down the lane and it smokes like hell, take your foot off and its clear so to me thats a fuel problem but dont know much about the pumps on these, weather there all ecu controlled or just some or if any...

any help would be great cheers

i have no idea but is your timing all spot on? is there a throttle/crank position sensor on a surf?

BTW where in north wales are you, i have a breaker if you are in need of any parts!

Im by Queensferry, there have been afew things i was after but serching thru scrap yards and findin nothing i gave up and now forgotten what i wanted, I will have a look and see whats needed again an let you know if thats ok?

no worries, Bibs is just down the road to you and she has a 2.4 thats she is breaking aswell

If the truck has been stood for 8 months then put some new fuel in it and do a complete filter and oil change

When you fit a new fuel filter fill it right up with either atf or redex and then take it out and drive it like you stole it.If you can drain all the old fuel out or even most of it then that would help a bit aswell.
You should notice a difference once you give the truck a good service.It will probably smoke a bit for a day or so but see what its like anyway
