    Hi

Was driving home from work yesterday and pulled into my street, after i straightened up the wheel i heard a grindy sort of noise and felt a wobble /tug on the steering to the drivers side.. i got out had a look done the usual pull on wheels etc ,, did not notice anything weird like a bearing shot or anything.

Went to work this morning fine (only 7km's)

On my way back from work i noticed it tugged to the drivers side again a few times maybe ten or so then i heard a grinding noise again like a bearing had messed it self., i got out wobbled the wheels etc nothing seemed to be upset, drove up to my house slowly and it was still making a grining noise plus i had now lost some brake pedal feel,,

I got my torch out put the sterring on full lock both ways and checked my brakes etc(pads are a bit low i guess) but nothing else seemed obvious,, just wondering if you guys have any ides on what might be wrong?

Could it be the front diff locking a wee bit?
    bearing?
    brake fault maybe?

please help as any info would be very helpful

All the best and have a gtreat weekend

Could be a CV joint, expecially the outer side, if its grabbing it'll jerk the wheel as the shaft turns

      Cheers tony

Ill have to look over the weekend and see what really is going on under there. Took the truck out about 10 mins ago to see if it only does it when its warmed up... found out it does it all the time now,, but it didnt jerk this time it just made a funny grinding noise with a squeel now and again, possiblt is the oputer CV or a bearing collapsing,, as for having a pedal tht hits the floor nearly now tht makes no sense as i checked the fluids etc and it is not low hmmm

Ill sort it but if anybody else has any ideas im open to them ,,

i guess to check the outer cv i can just do the hard full lock turn in either direction and listen for clunks,,

Maybe, sometimes the angle of the CV changes where it locks, I had one sieze so hard I couldn't hold the steering straight with the truck loaded up with spare tyres, but had took all the junk out the back and it wnet completely and let me drive home

You can take the hub plate off and then try it, this will stop the front shaft spinning.

Idealy you want to take it out and give it a good flex in all directions.
