tail gate rear window probs

ok this has been done befor but i need some help..

I had to put in a new rear wondow as the other one was stuffed,,

After putting it in i realised the lock lever would not move up or down its stuck in place(the plastic one inside the trim)

I also noticed the motor had decided to poo its pants which i could not understand

Also i get this horrible bleeping noise i have never heard before when i try to close the window(which it does not by the way)

I need help i got an open window,that bleeps,its winter here and very cold. i need to know how to put a new motor in as i could not see the 3 screws ive heard about,, and i also need to know how to pull the plastic trim of the top of the tailgate (the bit with the handle in it)

The beeping sound is the door open alarm, (there should be a BACK DOOR warning light on the dash too) give the tailgate a slam to make sure it's shut and the latches lock.

The three bolts that hold the motor on are underneath, you can't see them as the bolt heads face the glass. An 8mm ratchet spanner is ideal for this, but make sure you insert something through the holes in the mechanism to lock it in place as the large spring will try to uncoil it's self and cause other problems.

ok door open alarm sounds good,, any ideas on the locking arm ? fully stuck so when the door is shut like it is not i have to pull the other arm inside to open the door,,, how do i jam the spring thing you mentioned? is it the piece (looking from above) on the right of the motor in the round housing?

ok i have now sorted the problem out,, basically when i put the rear window in i mangaed to get it behind the seal on the tailgate runners(i fell like a right #### for doing this).

Once apon a time a very stubourn surf rear window broke .....

Yesterday i took the whole lot back out,by the whole lot i took the mechanism of completely. i checked the motor and it worked fine, i greased the mechanism arms etc and reinstalled, thts when i noticed the window was not in the correct runner, so i pulled it out and replaced it.

Plugged the wires back in and of she went like a dream up down up down woohoo you hear me scream. BUT no

I put the covers back on and shut the gate, bleep bleep bleeep ###### gate switch says its open.. so i slam it harder bleep bleep bleep still no go.

Back down with the tail gate strip it apart and unplug the wire on the right,, tested window up down up down yay rejoice ..

Shut tail gate shut wiondow opened window shut window opened again then had a beer, i dont think the window has ever worked so well..

(the only thing i could not work out how to do was removal of the plastic thing inside of the tail gate with the lock and handle on it,, so if anybody could tell me how to do tht i would be very very greatful
