2.4 Surf Auto, engine lose of power on move.

Can anyone help me with this? Im looking at a 2.4 auto Surf on eBay and he has a fault where the engine loses power on the move and engine light comes on, he turns engine off and it runs fine again, he seems to get it a few times on one trip.

Can anyone help me? Im looking to bid on it but would like to know Im not bidding on a dead horse.

Could be a number of things from simple to costly. Get them to do a fault code test.

I would check the fuel filter first for sure...
