  • Problem Injector Pipe!!!

I have a 1991 Surf 2.4TD in which I have just fitted a new cylinder head, unfortunately I did not strip it all down myself and now find that when I've put it all back together it won't start. I guessed the connecting sequence of the injector pipes at the pump, this may well be wrong. Does anyone know the correct connection sequence & firing order. I've got fuel up to the injectors & smoke at the tail pipe when I crank it over, but no sign of a start up.

All the pipes are made to measure. so hold the pipe by the injector and see if it lines up with the pump outlet. If it doesn't line up at one move the pipe to the next injector until it does line up.
If at first you don't succeed.........give up.

Not fully charged batteries will make it hard to start.

      Firing order is 1-3-4-2

And the pipes at the back of the pump go on in the order below

      3 1
      4 2
