  • extending clutch hydraulic fluid hose

I drove my truck for the 1st time on Sat since Feb in which time I put a 2" body lift on.

Since then gear selection is getting worse: seen as the clutch cylinders were unused since then and also the hose to the hydraulic fluid coiled pipe just above the slave is now fairly tight, I reckon the hose might need extending. Anyone recommend a competent person in the Republic who I might ask and expect a intelligent anwer???

You could ask Earl's to make you an extended clutch hose. Single hoses are £12 plus post VAT etc

Can't be positive Jim, but I'm fairly sure I read before on Yotatech that you can use a Surf brake hose to extend the clutch line, might be worth a search.

      Found it at http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/ForSale/BodyLiftKit.shtml

At 2" on most Toyotas, you will find that in addition to the items that a 1" lift affects, you will need to extend the hydraulic line to the clutch slave cylinder.
      • A stock front brake line works well for this.
