Shall I or Not????

Hi guys an Gals. .
I know we are all getting a little tired of hearing about head gaskets but if its a common fault then hey ho,
My problem is that my truck has been off the road for a while, not that there much wrong with it just finding the time to do it,
I have started to take EGR valve out compleatly and with the amouth that needs to come off. . . . . Shall I go the whole hog and do the head gasket whilst im there???
I intend on keeping the truck aslong as possible and want her to be as reliable as she was bulit to be so hoping that whilst its off the road do as much hard work as I can, and get as much enjoyment out as possible
That is the plan anyway.
Hope someone out there can advise on the best route to follow

Personally, I'd leave it alone, its quite stressfull on a head removing it and replacing it, no point giving it an excuse to fail.
