oil pressure

okies for the teckies around then.... anyone???

2.4 on a 1993 anyone any idea what kind of oil pressure they should hold??

i ask due to my worry about mine having low oil pressure...

at idle the oil pressure guage sits just below the first low black line and at 3k rpm sits dead in the middle of the guage... is this normal???

i also have the cause of concern on low pressure as the top end lifters seem to have a small rattle on acceleration and constant revs....

any help much appreciated...

have tried the ussual fixes like new oil and filter , slick 50 and now looking to maybe investigate a partially blocked oil pick up....

many thanks .... it would seem that my guage reads of an average figure then... still would like to know what range it should be in psi tho to be sure.. either that or im now tempted to just get the engine out and freshen it up as my poil pressure has never ever reached the high mark where i would like it....
