ECT Not working

I have a 2.4 1993 auto Surf and the ECT button does not work anymore. I have had the centre cocsole off and checked the connections and been under the truck and checked any electrical connections on the gear box. I don't know where the the fuses would be for this as the ones that I can find in the engine bay and in the drivers footwell don't list anything like the gearbox or ECT.
Can you please tell me where to look and what to do so I can get it working again.
