  • Heating issues

    Hi All,

    really easy questions for you!

    1. My front heating gets slightly warm but not hot, slider works, pipes at bulkhead get hot etc - is it likely to be an air lock?, if so what is the best way to fix?

    2. My rear heating doesn't heat - just blows, is there a seperate matrix from the front Matrix? would that need bleeding too? - or is that likely to be a blocked pipe?

I know other people have had similar issues on here but i can't find how to bleed the matrix (even with the haynes manual), is it at the bulkhead?

you could take both hoses off the matrix and hose it through both ways with a garden hose, this often clears lots of rubbish out.

I normally take them off by the heater valve, and where the rubber hose joins the metal pipe along the head, you can then easily stuff a hosepipe into the rubber hoses and flush it out.

the rear heater has its own matrix, under the center console, its fed by small bore pipes that run along the trans tunnel that easily block.
