Air Con drive belt.

Had to change the pair of alternator belts the other day and was wondering if I could leave off the Air con belt. I never use AC, I prefer to roll down my window and the tailgate and let the wind blast thru
Does it really matter if its on or off? Obviously the pair of alternator belts are must and it would be b@$tard to steer without the powersteering belt but the AC belt does nothing really.

if you remove the belt and the system is working then if you ever want to use it again the seals may deteriorate. Air con should be switched on occasionally even during winter to circulate the lubricant and maintain the system.
