  • How to change o/s engine mounting bracket??????

Hi Everyone. I need to change the off side engine mounting bracket on my Surf 2.4 LN130 1993. I have got all the nuts and bolts undone and off, but can't get it out of position. What is the easiest way to get the old mounting bracket out and get the new one in? There must be a simple way but I can't find it. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!! as my Surf is dead at the moment
Thanks in advance for your help.

Have you removed all of the nuts/bolts?
There are three, as the mount is in two pieces.
Two nuts/bolts that hold the mount to the chassis and one nut that holds the mount to the engine block.
Once they are removed, use a block of wood on a trolley jack and lift the engine under the sump just enough to get the mount out/in.

I tried this when I got the nuts and bolts off and the whole truck started to lift, but I will try again at the weekend as I thought that this was the easiest way.
Thanks for your advice, I hope it works.

Thanks for your reply. I was hoping not to have to undo the other side as access is poor. Thanks for your advice.
