  • mysterious 4mm pressure pipe

does anyone know where a 4mm internal diameter pressure pipe should be connected?

this one is currently connected in the depths of the block an index finger length diagonally down from the red auto gearbox fluid dipstick. currently the other other end is connected to the top of the white nipple (which i understand should be attached to the turbo pressure sensor with a length of tube - which in my case is missing - so very slow 2.4 surf).

should i just diconnect this from the white nipple, add the new length and hope for some turbo?

A picture or two showing exactly what setup you have with the hoses, at the moment, would help.

Also, have a look at the vac diagram(s)? in this thread:

            photos of the problem

the yellow line shows the new pipe which i have attached to the sensor and as i'd hoped - green light, decent power - a new car!

the red circle is the mysterious pipe which WAS attached to the opposite end of the sensor (the white nipple thingy).

now its unattached, I couldnt get a clear photo due to flash and the pipe disappearing in the direction shown in the photo.

            * the mystery pipe length is 15-20cm
            * one end is attached to a 'switch?' with 2 more pipes and 2 plugs going in (4 wires)

Does anyone know where this pipe should be attached to?

            The scematics arent that clear.

            Thanks a lot!
