Hi fella's, couple of questions for the guru's.

1 When selecting heater vent positions nothing happens, however I can hear a click each time a button is pushed, cheching the white plastic linkage in drivers footwell I can see it try to move and a gentle push helps it along. I've dosed it with WD but still no go. What actually operates this linkage?

2 Would the engine bottom pulley still squeal if the V belts were removed, I've stripped the whole front end down (new cam belt) but found nothing wrong, squeal seems to come from front pulley area.

Answer to Q1, sorted it out, B******d cable, new one ordered from MD @ £12, bargain, just got to fit it.

Q2 .....Harmonic ballencer ..... bottom pully make a noise like a budgie when failing

I'm sure you're right, but would the noise still be there with belts removed, or is centrifugal force enough to make it scream like a banshee, noise goes as revs increase by the way.
