Glow Plug Light?

On my 93 2.4 LN130 when i turn the ignition on the glow plug light comes on then turns off straight away what could cause this?

The surf does take a while to start then when it does fire its bellows smoke out of the exhaust.

That's how it works.

Check the glowplugs and the 80A fuse in the engine bay fusebox. Also, try waiting until you hear the beep before turning her over and see if that makes any difference.
