hi guys gearbox help please

Basically my clutch needs to be done , its not slipping or anything yet but it is bighting at the top end of the pedal travel this i know,,

Now the problem i have is, after leaving the hospital today i was driving fine gears changed up 1st 2nd then i could not engage 3rd or 4th but 5th and reverse are fine..???

when the vehicle is staionary still the same problem with motor running or turned off , i can still enage the same gears,,

Anybody got any ideas? i thought its possible the clutch is not depressing enough hence not ebing able to engage etc but i dont think its the case, oh one more thing its a 2.4 turdbo diesel . If i try to engage 3rd or 4th its very very hard to push the knob in the direction of thoughs gears (impossible) . i dont even get a crunchy noise if moving along, Maybe the gear rail has seized hmmm

Anyway and help would be appreciated thank you

oh and one more thing when im driving along in the 3 gears that work , theres no weird noises neither does the clutch slip

well i decided to take the box out replace the clutch and all the other bits and bobs., whilst it was out i took the box apart still jammed stripped it put it back together finding nothing wrong after it was put back together it worked(very strange) the selectors felt sweet and all the internals were in great condition, even the magnet inside the centre housing had very little furring,,

so my conclusion is i dont have one and will hope it does not do this again grrrr

now i got to do the harmonic balancer

prices with my dicount
$149 nz dollars for a clutch kit
$133.70 nz dollars for harmonic balancer
worked out to be 323 something all up inclucing GST
thats 133.18 uk pounds cheap as aye
