Isn't that stuff 'supposed' to seal cracks in engines? If you've poured that miracle 'cure' into a 2.4 Surf engine then chances are you've buggered it!

How can a liquid thats being pumped around an engine, through the sump, in and out the filter, find a hair-line crack and seal it??!!
If it seals cracks, then by definition it has to solidify at some point.

Either it's seized the oil pump, blocked the injectors or is causing some other locking up of the rotating assemblies.

this stuff seals when in contact with air (o2) or oxygen, therefore if there is air getting in somewhere, it will solidify and hey, seized, fixed or what ever.

PEOPLE, NEVER BE CONNED INTO THINKING THESE THINGS WORK! THEY MAY DO IN SOME INSTANCES BUT WHY NOT JUST FIX THE PROBLEM INSTEAD OF USING STUFF THAT CAN ONLY CAUSE MORE PROBLEMS.
think about it logically, i have a problem, i wont fix it but ill make a temp repair as it ronseal it does what it says on the tin, hey presto, problem 1 cured but now what...........

JUST FIX IT PROPERLY THE FIRST TIME.

Bit late to say this now, I know, but how on earth did you come to put this in the oil and not the rad? Begs the question why too? Did you have leaks somewhere? It's a heat hardened 'glue' if you like. I suspect your engine is non-recoverably f*cked to be honest.

I used blockweld myself once in a £200 205 with a duff head. Sealed it for a year or so, so well pleased. I must admit I've never heard of anyone adding it to oil before!

it does sound like a siezed engine.I had the same type of thing on a truck i bought and that would only crank a little each way.When i took the head off all 4 pistons were sat at the bottom of the barrels.
People do say about not putting that type of stuff in the engine as it will cause problems and i'm sorry to say that it sounds like you may have proved them right.
Get the head off and have a look to see if you can see any damage at all

can you do this on a surf? (i know it works on a car but might be totally out on a surf! sorry limited knowledge! lol ) put the gearbox in N and try to turn the engine over using a spanner on the nut for the large bottom pulley. If it turns freely then at least you will know that the engine has not seized up or you will.................. would have thought if you remove the glowplugs you'll be able to turn the engine easier (if it's not seized that is)

no.. it will not turn over... i'm going to have to remove the head...

Have you checked all your connections first before worrying about pumps etc.... does it still turn over when you try to start normally?
