  • Cruise Control

    Hi!

Blimey, I'm back, twice in one week.

Thanks Trev for your advice on whether or not Mr H should try getting back with the truck from France, he made it safely and I'm booked in the garage to get the belt changed this week, phew!

On another note, does anyone know if its possible and/or expensive to fit cruise control to a '92 Surf 2.4 TD?

Yes it's possible, but not worth the hassle or the cost.

I fitted an electronic aftermarket kit about three years back, and to be honest it very rarely gets used. It can not atecipate hills as soon as the revs drop it applys the kick down, resulting in the engine reving it's nuts off. It only works on flat roads (try finding them in Britain) so I really would not advice it. Also using my right foot gets better fuel economey.
