Engine Oil Leak, Gasket?

eww what dodgy f*&ker put this thing together ????

there were 2 bolts missing from the crank housing, one at the very bottom which is where all the oil is coming from and the other at the top drivers side (no biggy but was hard to get at with the iron bracket thing in front of it.).
ive tightened up the lower bolt the best i can but without stripping the entire front end its a tad hard to get to - plus the bracket is a sunken fit so i need a really thin socket to tighten properly and it just wont fit in there with all the other parts in the way.

this should minimise most of the oil that was coming out (a drip every minute by this stage).

ill check again in the morning but no doubt i may need to replace front crank shaft gasket (same as in the picture on page 1 of this thread).

unlucky... it didnt fix a thing

im finding a lot of trouble with this unit at the moment, the car had originally been bought at an auction so who knows where it came from and what happened to it, ive had to fix everything from the electrics (shortening out the car completely and keeping it in 1st gear only) to all these lovely new mechanical problems, cooling, heater matrix, 4wd (still doesnt have power), transmission and more!

BUT - it'l be a good rig by the time im done !!!

easy fix on the oil leak - the catch cam was chockers and hence was blowing oil out thru the air filter, which in turn was leaking oil onto everything from the drain hole.
i knew this needed to be drained but kept putting it off as i didnt have the right tool. my lazy arse now has a 500ml suction needle.
