  • Injectors & K&N

    Hi guys

I have one Smokey surf and think I need to jet the injectors cleaned.
Anybody had experience of how long it takes the average diesel specialist to complete a check and recon?
Anybody out there have a second hand set as my surf is my only means of transport and I can not have it off the road?

Also for those people who have asked in the past about K&N filters the following my be of interest. I have one from a MK2 MR2 that fits a treat. The cone has the correct hole for the air temperature sensor and is the right collar size to fit the surf.
Tried it for a while but found it to noisy for me. Maybe a swap may be in order (K&N for old injectors)

    Cheers

    Chris

Have you tried putting in some Redex to try and clean the injectors etc....I know from my Brother-in-law who had his injectors sent away for an Isuzu that it took approx 1 week

      got mine back yesterday

Had my injectors done the othewr day by a local diesel specialist, they all do them. Mine would have only taken two days but they had to get new pith's in.

Total cost £169 in Vat. gonna expect to pay about £35 plus Vat each!

      hope thats of use

P.S. seems a lot but new ones will cost you some apendages!
