Thanks for this info Pete, i've a 1990 Surf 2.4Ltd SSR & the red light is coming on all the time. When key is in, both green & red light are on, then when engine is started both go off.
Driving along the red light comes on, the green light comes on when turbo is engaged, the red light does not go off unless i switch off & restart engine, & then it can just come back on again or sometimes it will stay off for some time.
John has just checked the hoses & they seem fine. Is there anything else we can try.

Hmmm, not absolutley certain but I believe the red light indicates a turbo fault, from memory I think it indicates the turbo is over-boosting. I'm sure there's some posts dotted around about your problem, they may be buried in the technical/electrical, try a search on tech forum for turbo and lights, should bring them up!

      Good Luck
