    Uplug the gear selector multi-plug on the driver's side of the transmission and leave it disconnected. Then go for a test drive to see if you get all gears shifting manually. This will determine if it's a transmission or electrical fault.

    Also, make sure the kick-down cable is slack and not under tension at the throttle body.

          I'm probably not going to be much help here but I'm changing my ATF fluid soon and after looking around it seems there are many different types of ATF fluid. Even though they are all Dextron III there seem to be many types.

          From the Halfords website, it seems you can't use certain types in different makes of car. For instance there's: AQ3, TQ, AQF, AQM, AQ202 and ASW all with seemingly different applications.

          Might be worth checking your using the right one?
