Turbo, has it had it

Got a second hand turbo from a breakers and found it had a lot of wobble in the fan, it is also cracked near the wastegate inside. I rang said breaker who told me that he inspected it and thought it was fine, I told him I wasn't sure I was happy and would like to return it. He told me I could post it back by all means but he wouldn't be refunding me!? Strange man, I got a bit angry at this but he was not giving way. I told him I would have it inspected proffesionally which I am doing tomorrow, not that it'll make any diferance to him. Do turbos have wobbly fans? my bike one didn't!
I choose not to name him yet as I hope to sort it although I have cancelled the credit card number he has, he wanted my old unit in exchange or a surcharge applied. I have set up a dispute with visa too to see if I can get my £225 back.

Turbo technics do a complete overhaul and collect and delivery for £300, there will be a slight amount of play in the shaft.

if the payment goes through by visa, then inform your credit card co. of problems with the item as they 'own' the turbo until you pay the balance off your card.

Thats prity much what this one does, but I took it to a turbo specialist today. He says sideways play is ok it's backwards and forwards thats terminal. He said that I'd got a useable turbo which may smoke a bit but otherwise should cause no problems.
