Hi PPL,
Been reading the forum for a few years now, it's been invaluable at helping me look at Surfs but only finally got round to purchasing a surf on Monday of this week. Its a 91 2.4 everything seems to been in fair condition well it mananged to get me the 60 miles back to its new home! However it had a strong smell of diesel when I parked it up when I looked underneath it I could see a constant drip of diesel dripping off the back end of the engine on the nearside when its on tickover. I took it for a spin up the road and it seems to have stopped its not the fuel filter any suggestions (Broken reurn pipe maybe)?
